First Brainstorm for our final song choice

After deciding on the final song Midnight Wander by Silent Sundays we did the first did a brainstorm of where we could see the music video going as a Narrative and Performance.

Website Analysis

For my website analyses i have chosen to look at Coldplays website as they are a indie rock band like the Silent Sunday. Coldplay is the kind of band look i feel we should go for, as they are not only indi rock, but mainstream as well. 

By looking at a band within the same genre as ours this we will be able to influence us and help us to relate to the fans base we are aiming at.

Concept, visual and image of our music video

Alex and i spoke about the concept, visual setting and image we are showing through our music video. As the song expresses feeling we thought about running off the main word  Midnight wanderer, loss of wife etc helped us think of the
Concept to be
Everyday, emotional , loneliness,
'Loneliness changes they way you see the city'  (Everyone turns into cowboys)

Visual setting to be with a gritty feel of cowboy
Low key lighting
city lights

Image we are showing to the audience is
Mainstream bands like
Kings of Leon and The script
Their type of look and style they portray to the audience is the one we would like to.

To make sure we had permission to use the bands song we sent an email to them asking that. However the band are no longer together, we still had to make sure we ask in case they read their emails.

Batardo

Hyperreality- over exaggerated version of reality. Her story in a comic book, magazine ect old magazine brought to life

Voyeurism - The story is shown by looking in a comic book.

This is why i got the grade i did i wasn't confident enough
This is what i need to do to improve i need to prepare my self so that i am confident enough to fulfill haven't i need in the exam. Meet deadlines and be more organised and prepared. Polish over the work and make sure that evaluation is in detail and correct.

1. Kelly Clarkson Because of you 

Performance as you can see the article performing and Narrative as it tell a story and you have characters .

The music video starts off with kelly and her boyfreind shouting and she about to leave, bad environment and not realising that she is doing the same as her parents did. As the song goes 'i will not make the same mistakes you did' the scene pauses and she looks in the mirror realising what is going on and how she felt when she was younger. The actual story of this music video is about her life how she grew up in that environment. 

The lyrics say 'i will not break' linking to the visuals

Her when she was younger is like the 'Ghost of christmas past' and she is 'Scrooge' not actually seeing what happened in the past is effecting her in the future, as she cant trust and let anyone in as she was rejected.

The music video explains the reasoning what she is singing the song shows what she went through and had to handle reminding her that she cant be like that and be the same as her parents where to make her relationship work. 

There is a relationship between the music and the visuals.
Expresses reality between a family house hold, as it can happen.
The music is sad and the lighting is dull/dark connecting to the music
