1. Kelly Clarkson Because of you 

Performance as you can see the article performing and Narrative as it tell a story and you have characters .

The music video starts off with kelly and her boyfreind shouting and she about to leave, bad environment and not realising that she is doing the same as her parents did. As the song goes 'i will not make the same mistakes you did' the scene pauses and she looks in the mirror realising what is going on and how she felt when she was younger. The actual story of this music video is about her life how she grew up in that environment. 

The lyrics say 'i will not break' linking to the visuals

Her when she was younger is like the 'Ghost of christmas past' and she is 'Scrooge' not actually seeing what happened in the past is effecting her in the future, as she cant trust and let anyone in as she was rejected.

The music video explains the reasoning what she is singing the song shows what she went through and had to handle reminding her that she cant be like that and be the same as her parents where to make her relationship work. 

There is a relationship between the music and the visuals.
Expresses reality between a family house hold, as it can happen.
The music is sad and the lighting is dull/dark connecting to the music

Performance as she is singing it and Narrative as there is a story 

The music video relates to the meaning of the song. She starts of on a cloud and sings about falling from 'cloud 9'. The visuals of the song show that she goes from one place 'falling' to another place happy and free from high off 'love'. The video had alot of effects throughout the story referring to  the story of snow white and alican wonderland. 

As the music video has a story to it they used a strawberry as a clique rather than apple from snow white as the lyrics 'so sweet' suite the strawberry better.

The little girl Katherine is guiding her throughout the video. Kate when she was younger.

Her outfit changes the closer she gets to 'freedom' 

This shows that now she has seen and fallen she cant be fooled again 

she starts off in a dark place hear broken and cold.

This music video is an Performance as the artist is lip syncing to the music.

The music video also tells a story however in visuals. The world coming together, not being able to live without each-other. 

The clothes the artist is wearing shows the the genre of the music is hip hop, as hip hop artists wear chains, sunglasses, earrings ect, also making signs. 

The beating of the sand links to the beat of the music 

As the lyrics to the song say 'i am lost' the artist looks around (trying to find himself) also he is in a desert. Linking the video to the lyrics.

Ed sheeran has a logo, and constant colours also text throughout his website, it shows his image (simple yet cool)

This teaches me that when making our website i should make sure that i have constant design throughout that show my artists in the way the fans that we have aimed at is correct. Ed has different language options at the top of his page so he is going out to a wide range of audience and his website is appealing to many people, he has links to connection of social networks and places to buy his album and listen to his music, also live updates. This i will have to take into account when creating our webpage for our band.
